Manuela M. Rodriguez, 89, of Aurora, Illinois passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 24, 1936, in San Benito, Texas. In March of 1960 she was united in marriage to Juan D. Rodriguez, and together they moved to Aurora, Illinois to raise their family.

Manuela was a devoted member of St. Therese Church. In 1999 she retired from Nunc, formerly Miles Lab after twenty-five years of dedicated service. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved dogs. Loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be dearly missed by all those who loved her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Juan D. Rodriguez; nine children, Leticia (Greg) Arce, Edna (Ruban Vasquez) Yzeta, Gustavo Rodriguez, Judy Alfaro, Sharon Barbosa, Carol (Michael) Michalek, Veronica (Ivan Hernandez) Rodriguez, Juan (Stephanie) Rodriguez, Albert Rodriguez; thirty-seven grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Soledad (Flores) Melendez; a grandson, Anthony Reyes; her sister, Guadalupe Schubach, her brother, Ignacio Melendez; three sons in law, Tony Reyes, Marcelino Alfaro, Javier Barbosa

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Therese Church at 10:00 AM, Fr. Juan Ayala will officiate with interment at Lincoln Memorial Park.
