Lucille Theresa Jurgelonis

Lucille Theresa Jurgelonis, 98, of Aurora, Illinois passed away Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Grove of Fox Valley in Aurora. She was born on January 20, 1928, in Aurora, Illinois the daughter of Anthony and Lucey (Verbickas) Jurgelonis.

Lucy lived her long and meaningful life with faith and family above all else. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aurora, where she generously shared her time and talents in many roles, including serving as treasurer of the church collections and assisting in the rectory.

Lucy also served the Aurora community for many years, warmly assisting customers at House of Vision in downtown Aurora. She will be remembered for her kind and giving spirit, her dedication to her faith and community, and, most of all, for the love she shared with her many nieces, nephews, and their children.

She is survived by her four nieces, Pat (Craig) Johnson, Judy Warbritton, Joann (Jerry) Power, Susan Larson; her nephew, Joseph (Jackie) Jurgelonis; many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Charles (Ester) Jurgelonis; Joseph (Margaret) Jurgelonis, Anthony (Mary) Jurgelonis, John (Viola) Jurgelonis, Stanley Jurgelonis; two sisters, Josephine (Walter) Jeske and Bernice Jurgelonis.

Lucy’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Vitas Hospice and the Grove of Fox Valley for the loving care she received.

A funeral mass will be offered Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Aurora, Interment will be private.
