Obituary

Louis G. Anthony, 88, of Batavia, Illinois passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday,
March 13, 2025. He was born December 23, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York.

His life was a testament to the American dream. Louis was a proud member of the U.S.
Army 3rd Infantry Division serving in Germany. He was the first in his family to pursue a
college degree and is a graduate of the University of Illinois. He built a successful career as
an insurance specialist and financial planner spanning 62 years, 52 of which, as a dedicated
employee of MetLife. He further cemented his professional expertise by attaining his
Chartered Life Underwriter designation and was an active member of the Million Dollar
Roundtable for over 20 consecutive years. When not working, running, or supporting his
beloved Yankees; he amassed a remarkable 42-year career as one of the most respected high
school and college basketball referees in Illinois.

A principled man of faith, Louis and his wife were members of Berachah Church in
Houston, TX.

A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, he is survived by his wife of
sixty five (65) years, Marilyn (Milone) Anthony; three children, Robert Anthony, Jane
Wisdom, Donna (Thomas) Cook; his son-in-law, Larry Wisdom; five grandchildren,
Anthony (Cristina) Wisdom, Laura (Lance) Rolax, Michael Cook, Alexander (Lauren)
Cook, Danielle Cook; five great grandchildren, Giuliana Wisdom, Isabella Wisdom, Olivia
Rolax, Rachel Cook, Emma Cook and "goddaughter", Martha (Mike) North.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis O. and Albertina (Farrar) Anthony; his sister,
Barbara Anthony.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at
