Landyn R. DeShazer, 20, of Aurora, IL passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Presence Mercy Medical Center, after a brief illness. She was born March 2, 2000 in Aurora, IL.
Landyn was a beautiful soul with a gigantic heart; a completely selfless person. Wise beyond her years, she would sit down with you and genuinely ask caring questions. She absolutely LOVED all animals and had dreams of working with them the rest of her life. She had one of those full-face smiles that could light up a room. Landyn adored spending time with her sister and her younger brothers. She cherished the time she spent hanging out with her friends and her boyfriend. Landyn enjoyed horseback riding, loved art, and she had a special appreciation for nature. She loved the city of Chicago and she was obsessed with the Cubs. She loved and appreciated the little things in life. Landyn will always be loved and forever in our hearts. The world has lost an extremely special person.
She is survived by her parents Kari and Jason Rahn; her sister Madison Bunner-Rahn; her two brothers Jackson and Carter Rahn; her boyfriend Daniel Pytel; her grandparents Sherrie and Bob Larsen, Debbie and Carl DeShazer, and Debbie (Bob Lukach) Rahn; her aunts and uncles Jeremy and Angela Larsen, Kelli and Jesse Williams, Bobby Larsen, Cody Larsen, Carrie (Stacy) Miskelley, Aaron and Lauren Rahn, Amber and BJ Ruhland, Loran Moore and Mason Moore; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father Andrew DeShazer and her uncle Rob DeShazer.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 20, 2020 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, 630-631-5500. Graveside services will be private at Lincoln Memorial Park.
