Kathy Leonardi Tentinger, 67, of Aurora, died Sunday May 30, 2021 at her home. She was born April 21, 1954, in Great Lakes Naval Hospital, Ft. Sheridan, Illinois, the daughter of Quentin and Margaret (Adams) Leonardi.
Kathy began her career at Mercyville Sanitarium in Aurora. She then worked alongside her husband at Stereo Systems. For the past 25 years she had taught first through third grade at Annunciation Catholic School in Aurora. Kathy had also co-founded the Annual Christmas Cookie Drive in Aurora.
She enjoyed being a caregiver for her family and friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Judith Ann Willard.
Survivors include her husband Robert Tentinger; 3 children Zachary (Emma) Tentinger of Maple Park, Quinn Tentinger and Evan Tentinger both of Chicago; 3 grandchildren Evelyn, Josephine, and George; her sister Toni (Bob) Simonson of Grand Rapids, MN; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin Saturday June 5, 2021 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Annunciation Catholic Church in Aurora for Mass at 10:00 AM. Fr. Joel Rippinger and Deacon Larry Motyka, will officiate. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at Marywood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, June 4, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois. 630-631-5500.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, non-family visitors are asked to pay their respects to the family for only a few minutes and exit the funeral home in a timely fashion. Social distancing and face masks are required for those in attendance.
