Kathy R. Poss, 71, of Sugar Grove, Illinois passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024at Ascension Mercy Medical Center. She was born February 16, 1953 in Aurora, Illinois.

She was full of life and loved by all. She was creative and especially loved sewing and quilting. She loved to travel, spend time with her family and cheer on her grandkids at sporting and life events. Kathy was one of a kind, the life of the party, and will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband of fifty five years, Gerald "Jerry" Poss; three children, Jarad (Melissa) Poss, Amy (Mike) Plante, Nicholas (Kirbie) Poss; ten grandchildren, Oxtin Poss, Aaliyah Poss, Xena Poss, Olin Poss, Rubina Poss, Lindsey (Kyle) Overbey, Luke Plante, Jake Plante, Ryker Poss, Easton Poss; three sisters, Ada McCrimmon, Clara (Bob) Taylor, Karen Galloway; five brothers, Gary (Sue) Galloway, Al Galloway, Steve (Anne) Galloway, Mike Galloway, Dennis (Kathy) Galloway; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Edna (Shelton) Galloway; two grandchildren, Rose Poss and Rosina Poss.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 12:30 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Annunciation Church at 1:00 PM. Fr. Patrick Gillmeyer, O.S.B. will officiate with interment in Marywood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 26, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, IL 60506. 630-631-5500.
