Obituary

Kathryn M. Stratton, 73, of North Aurora, Illinois left her earthly body Friday, July 14, 2023. She was born February 12, 1950.
Kathy was a member of the last graduating class of Madonna High School in 1968. She was a radiologic technician for many years in Aurora, IL and Marietta, GA. She was an avid gardener, bird watcher, a voracious reader and puzzle master. While living in Marietta, GA Kathy was an active member of Transfiguration Catholic Church volunteering in many capacities.
Kathy was a much loved wife, mother, nana, daughter and sister. She was loved by many for her generous spirit, kind heart, warm smile and gentle humor.
She is survived by her two children, Patrick Murphy of Hickory Hills, IL, Rebecca Stratton of Marietta, GA; three grandchildren, Ian, Colin and Alora; two brothers, Hank (Rhonda) Covelli, Mike (Jeri) Covelli, Jr.; three sisters, Judith (Geoff) Mehl, Cheri (Don) Thurow, and Donna (Dave) Covelli; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stan Stratton in 2003; her parents Michael and Laverne (Fetzer) Covelli, Sr.
Memorial mass will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church North Aurora; Fr. Max Lasardo will officiate with inurnment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial visitation will be held Monday, July 24, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a rosary service at 4:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506.
