Kathryn Ann Phillips, 59, of Aurora passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at her home. She was born July 14, 1962 in Chicago, IL.
Kathryn graduated from Burnham Grade School in Cicero, IL, Cleveland High School in Cleveland, TN and Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY. Kathy loved math and found a rewarding career in the accounting field. She was employed for many years by Richard Francis and Associates.
Kathy loved reading mysteries and thrillers, watching reruns of Dark Shadows. She enjoyed crafting, especially beaded jewelry, and she loved making her delicious fudge that she shared with others. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt, she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her two children, Brett Schickram, Brittany Nicole Schickram; her mother, Betty J. (Thompson) Phillips; her sister, Karen R. (Larry D.) Maynard; her brother, Kerry W. Phillips; her sister-in-law, Tammy Phillips; two nephews, Brandon M. Maynard, Matthew A. Phillips; many cousins.
She was preceded in death by father, Dewey E. Phillips; her twin brother, Kenneth R. Phillips; her maternal grandparents, John and Dora (Murphy) Thompson; her paternal grandparents, Dewey H. and Leathie (Baugh) Phillips.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 12:15 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, 630-631-5500. Due to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, face masks are required for those in attendance at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathryn's name may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd Suite 1010 Rockville, MD 20852.
