Karren J. Kirth, 81, of Bolingbrook, Illinois passed away Monday, August 15, 2025 at Advent Bolingbrook Hospital. She was born July 28, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois.
Karren was a graduate of St. Pascal Grade School in Chicago, IL, Notre Dame High School in Niles, IL, and Rush Presbyterian St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago, IL. She went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career working in hospitals, doctor's offices and nursing homes in many areas of medicine.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always caring, giving, and encouraging to those around her. She loved the outdoors especially gardening. Karren and her husband Jim enjoyed their best time together when they moved to Saudi Arabia in 1994, for two years, and then traveled to many other parts of the world, including Singapore, Bali, and much of Europe.
She is survived by her husband of fifty nine years, Jim Kirth; her daughter, Claire (Eric) Ingersoll; her grandson, Wyatt Ingersoll; two brothers, Frank (Sharon) Lantz, and Ken Lantz; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Franklin and Lucille (Chap) Lantz; her sister, Arlene Loerzel.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM with a butterfly release at the Bird Haven Greenhouse & Conservatory 225 Gougar Road, Joliet, IL 60432.
