Joyce A. Bohr, 89, of North Aurora, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026, at her home. She was born on November 18, 1936, in Aurora, Illinois.
Joyce was devoted to her faith. She was a former member of St. Rita of Cascia Church in Aurora, Illinois, and most recently belonged to Blessed Sacrament Church in North Aurora, Illinois. She had a passion for gardening and previously served as treasurer of the North Aurora Garden Club. Joyce was also an active member of the Aurora Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary. Above all, she treasured time with her family, especially during their many vacations to Minnesota and Kentucky.
She is survived by her three sons, Ray (Mary) Bohr, Tom (Linda) Bohr, John (Cindy) Bohr; three daughters, Mary (Tom Franzen) Morehouse, Anne (Ted) Scheel, Sue (Janet Nims) Bohr; twelve grandchildren, Paul (Laura) Morehouse, Tim (Jami) Morehouse, Nicholas (Jenny) Morehouse, Brynn (Justin) Holliday, Kolette (Matt) McGary, Jordan (Alec) Anderson, Steven (Samantha) Bohr, Nicole Bohr, Anthony Wright, Alexandra (CJ) Wilson, Jarrod (Mariah) Bohr, Ryan Bohr; seventeen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald M. "Jerry" Bohr; her parents, Albert and Gertrude (Rogers) Racicot; her grandson, Austin Wright; three sisters, Janet Nash, June Racicot, Jane Fermazin.
Joyce's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Rosa and Pam, as well as the team at Assisting Hands and the nurses and staff at St. Croix Hospice for the loving care and support they provided.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 9:30 AM from DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 AM; Fr. Max Lasrado will officiate with interment at Marywood Cemetery.
