Josephine Ann Hegyi, 101, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center in Aurora. She was born on April 24, 1922 in Aurora, the daughter of Joseph and Lena (Kirner) Becker. On November 4, 1944, she married her beloved, Charles in Aurora.
A devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, Josephine was an avid Chicago Cub fan who had a marvelous sense of humor. She enjoyed playing poker, bingo, and going to the casino. She is cherished and will be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Sally Pace; grandchildren, Karen (Brad Lewis) Johnson and Kevin (Maegan) Willman; great grandchildren, Courtney Weekly, Charles (Emma) Willman, Elena and Juliana Fender ; great great grandchild, Liam Weekly; sister, Madaline Leeburg; special niece, Carol Mosolygo and many other nieces and nephews; and fur baby, Missy.
Preceding her in death is her husband of, Charles; brothers, Albert and Carl; and sisters, Paula and Lois.
Private family services will be planned for a later time.
