Joseph D. Bode, 74, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Joe was born on December 6, 1949 in Aurora, the son of Joseph C. Bode, Jr. and Mary Feher.

He was a graduate of Aurora West High School then earned his Law Degree in 1979 from Northern Illinois University and passed the bar in 1980. He went on to serve as a lawyer in private practice for thirty eight years. As a distance runner he was often seen running the streets no matter what the weather. He enjoyed spending time watching 'Jeopardy' in the bar with his friends as well as reading and studying.

Joe is survived by his friends, Linda Denell and Beverley Steib; God daughter, Allison Mainhart and Kristin Vosburgh.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and brother, John C. Bode.
