Jose M. Garcia, 70, of Aurora, passed away, on Thursday, October 21, 2021at Mercy Medical Center. He was born October 9, 1951 in Mexico the son of Jose Salvador and Maria Guadalupe (Solis) Garcia. For fifty five years, he shared his life with his beautiful bride, Maria (Ruiz) Garcia. Together they raised nine children.
Jose was a master baker for several years who taught many the art of baking. He was an avid fan of the soccer team from his hometown, Morelia, Mexico. He will be best remembered for being a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather.
Jose is survived by his beloved wife, Maria; eight children, Antonio(Maria) Garcia, Jose M. Garcia, Jose G. (Alicia Velasquez) Garcia, Alejandro Garcia, Rosa (Cain Marquez) Garcia, Claudia (Joel) Aguirre, Maura (Daniel Zaragozia) Garcia, Miguel (Cristina Jimenez) Garcia; brother, Mucio Garcia; sisters, Carmen Garcia, and Paulina Garcia; thirty three grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Adam Cardoza, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his son, Leobardo Garcia.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 10:30am from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Nicholas Catholic Church at 11:00am. Fr. Alexander Suares will officiate with interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, 630-631-5500. Due to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, social distancing and face masks are required for those in attendance.
