Jose Ferrel Cabada, 89, passed away on September 23, 2020 at his home in Oswego. The son of Jose Luis Ferrel and Maria Cabada, he was born March 28, 1931 in Durango, Mexico. He married Maria Guadalupe Montenegro who preceded him in death. Together they raised seven children.
Jose was a farmer and cowboy, a very hard worker and always active. He is loved and will be missed by his children, grandchildren, and many friends.
Surviving are his seven children, Olga Astorga, Gloria Fernandez, Jesus Ferrel, David Ferrel, Manuel Ferrel, Jose Ferrel, and Lilia Corral; 23 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Enriqueta Ferrel, Otilia Ferrel, Maria Ferrel, Anita Ferrel, and Licha Ferrel; brother, Pedro Ferrel; special individuals, Tanya Barrios, Nicolas Barrios, and many godchildren.
Preceding him in death was his wife Maria and parents, Jose Luis Ferrel and Maria Caboda.
Visitation held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 2 to 5 pm at the Daleiden Mortuary. Funeral Mass on Monday, September 28, 2020 st Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aurora.
