Jose Angel Avila, 71, of Aurora, IL sadly left us on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Jose was born in Mexico and started his journey in the United States in Texas at 4 years old. He began working at the very young age of 8 and continued from there on until his retirement from Caterpillar.

He met his wife Sandra in his hometown of McAllen, married and relocated to Illinois where they have resided for the past 53 years.

He is survived by His wife Sandra Avila, His Sons Jose " Joey " Avila Jr, Michael Avila, His daughter Vanessa Avila; four Grandsons Dimas, Jonathon, Diego, and Emilio; and one Granddaughter Vanae, as well as his loving mother Maria C. Garcia and 8 siblings: Carmen Avila (David Lerma), Ruth Anzaldua (Mario), Raquenel Austin (Charles), Rosie Maynard (Jeff), Roberto Garcia Jr., Raymundo Garcia, Richard Garcia, and Ramiro Garcia.

A funeral mass will be offered by Fr. Rafael Alexander Parafina at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2022 at St. Rita of Cascia Church, 750 W. Old Indian Trail, Aurora, IL. 60506 (630) 892-5918.
