John C. Schramer, 90, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Thrive of Fox Valley in Aurora. John was born on November 3, 1932 in Aurora, the son of Aloysius and Helen (Kuhn) Schramer. On February 7, 1953 he married Barbara Herold in Aurora.
A devoted husband and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, John was a veteran, serving our country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He is cherished and will be missed by his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife of 70 years, Barbara; two children, Deanna (Jim) Fichtel and Linda (Ted) Beach; four grandchildren, Brandon and Joe (Stephanie) Beach, Liz (Bob) Harris, and Brian (Marnie) Fichtel; sisters, Dolores (Leland) Weaver and Diane Morlan; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents and step mother Bernadette Schramer.
