John P. Hartman, born on September 7, 1963, in Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024, at the age of 60. John was born to Robert and Patricia Hartman in Aurora, Illinois. He grew up with his four siblings, Margaret, Steven, Michelle, and Dan, in Aurora, IL.

John proudly served his country in the Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Lance Corporal, while serving in Beirut in 1982. His unwavering support for the Marine Corps was a testament to his continued dedication and patriotism.

John is survived by his parents, Robert and Patricia Hartman; his siblings, Margaret (Michael) Parker, Steven (Jean) Hartman, and Dan Hartman; Jessica (Aaron), Eleanor, and Lillian, his nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. He cherished his time with his family, and friends who became family, including his beloved dog, Bear. John was preceded in death by his sister Michelle Hartman.

John was known in his community for having a big heart and for his endless giving to others. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be dearly missed. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506. 630-631-5500.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY; Deacon Julio Rosado will officiate.

The burial will take place on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
