Joan Marie Grant (née Konen) 92, of Aurora, IL passed away peacefully on February 26, 2022 at Jennings Terrace. Joan was born January 3, 1930 in Batavia, IL.
She was a member of St. Rita of Cascia Church for 65 years.
Joan is survived by her son Jim (Lynn) Grant and her daughter Mary (Rob) Stultz; eight grandchildren, Jimmy, Jon, Andrew, Jeffrey, Jaime, Joni, Jeremy and Jenna, ten great-grandchildren; two sisters Patricia Renaud and Bernice Konen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents Mathew and Josephine (née Gerten) Konen; her siblings Ervin (Edna) Konen, Maxine (Charles) Streff, Richard (MaryKay) Konen, Joseph and Mary in infancy; her brother-in-law Melvin Renaud and her childrens' father James H. Grant, Jr.
Joan's family would like to thank ALL the healthcare professionals for their compassionate care given to Joan.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 4, 2022 at 9:30AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Rita of Cascia Church, 750 Old Indian Trail Road, Aurora at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Alex Parafina officiating. Interment will be at Marywood Cemetery in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Rita of Cascia Church.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 3, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora 630-631-5500. Facemasks are optional for all those in attendance.
