Jesus Elizondo Gonzales, 90, of Aurora, died Wednesday August 3, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born March 4, 1932, in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico the son of Fidel Elizondo and Maria (Gonzales) Elizondo.
Jesus had worked as a supervisor at Atlantic Container in Lombard and then also at Excel Display Packaging in Aurora.
He enjoyed gardening and trips to the casino.
Jesus married Lilia E. Guerra in Marin, N.L., Mexico, April 1, 1951. She preceded him in death in 2010. He was also preceded in death by his sons Fidel and Juan Luis Elizondo; his siblings Hector Elizondo, Fidel Elizondo, Ninfa Avendano, Refugio Elizondo, Rene Elizondo, Reynold Elizondo, Nelly Gonzales, Raymundo Elizondo, and Ramon Elizondo.
Survivors include his daughters Rosa Maria Cazares and Lilia (James Earley) Salinas, both of Aurora; and his son Jessie Elizondo of Bartlett; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; his two sisters Carmen Elizondo and Margarita Elizondo; and his brother Manuel Elizondo.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Nicholas Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, IL 60506. 630-631-5500.
