Jeannine M. Bonifas, 85, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at home peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born November 16, 1935, in Aurora, the daughter of Joseph Charles and Anna (Walush) Juneau, Jr.
Jeannine was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Aurora for 65 years and assisted on the funeral dinner committee. She had also been a member of the Phoenix Club in Aurora, the "Cow Sucks" Golf Outing committee, and the Northeast Neighbors Association. In 1997 she was awarded First Place in their Landscape Contest.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, in 1993. She was also preceded in death by three brothers Ronald, James, and Charles Juneau, and her sister JoAnn Brown.
Jeannine is survived by her six children, Cindy (Dick) Browning of North Aurora, Bruce (Debbie) Bonifas, Brad (Paula) Bonifas, and Bryan Bonifas, all of Aurora, David (Monique) Bonifas of Sterling Heights, MI, and Brenda Bonifas of Chicago; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; her brother Dean Juneau of Mesa, AZ; and her sister-in-law Rose Juneau of Aurora, IL
Jeannine's family would like to thank hospice nurses Lonnie and Beth, and her caregivers Ruth and Ruthie for the love and care she was given each day.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 10:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Annunciation Catholic Church for Mass at 11:00 AM. Fr. Patrick Gillmeyer, O.S.B. will officiate with interment at Marywood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506. 630-631-5500. Due to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, social distancing and face masks are required for those in attendance.
