Jeane M. Weiss of Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and dedication to others.
She was born on October 20, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, to Emil and Agnes (Kuncl) Konopasek. Jeane was a devoted member of Holy Angels Church in Aurora and dedicated much of her life to education and service. She worked as an Office Manager in the Registrar's Office at DePaul University and also shared her knowledge and talents as both a school teacher, piano teacher, and musician. She was a proud member of the Musician's Union. Her most important roles were being a mother, grandmother, and caregiver.
Jeane found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing the piano, reading, listening to music, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs. Her gentle spirit, love of learning, and passion for music touched the lives of many and will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Jeane is survived by her children; Mark Weiss, Mary (Gary) Guzzardo, Rachel Weiss, her sister; Diane Boerschinger, grandchildren; Michael (Cora) Weiss, Sara Weiss, Kara Weiss, Joey Guzzardo, Emily Thomas, Evan Thomas, and great grandchild; Beatrice Weiss.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, husband; Leon J. Weiss, daughter; Kristen (Ronald) Thomas, and Blanche Kuncl.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 9:30AM from Daleiden Mortuary to Holy Angels Church at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Daleiden Mortuary (220 North Lake Street, Aurora, IL 60506 Phone: (630)631-5500).
