James "Irish" Joseph Dolan, 84, of Aurora passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, IL. He was born June 20, 1936 in Aurora, IL.
Jim lived in Aurora all of his life and was employed by the City of Aurora for 26 years until his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 3rd Ward Club, Tiger Club, and Eagles Club.
He is survived by his wife Jean (Stemmet) Dolan of Aurora, IL; his two sons Jody (Brenda) Dolan of Yorkville, IL and Jamie Dolan of Aurora, IL; his three daughters Colleen (David) Olson of Oswego, IL, Maureen (Brian) Mackowiak of St. Johns, FL, and Jennifer (David) Naster of Aurora, IL; twelve grandchildren, Joshua, Trisha, Justin, Shannon, Jacob, Scott, Mikela, Nicole, Zachary, Kyle, Andrew and Audrey, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hazel and John Dolan, Sr. and his brothers John Jr., Joseph, William, and Daniel Dolan.
Funeral from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY will be on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 9:30am to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 10:00am. Fr. Jerome Leake will officiate with interment at Lincoln Memorial Park.
