Jacob "Jake" Dieser of Aurora, Illinois passed away on 09-12-23 at the age of 91. He was born in Aurora, Illinois on October 21, 1931 to Frederick and Katherine Dieser. Jake was the fifth of nine children born in America after his parents emigrated from Germany during the Russian Revolution.

Jake attended St. Joseph's Catholic grade school and Marmion Military Academy in Aurora. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and the Illinois National Guard. He was employed over 40 years at Northern Illinois Gas Co. and excelled in writing some of the initial computer programs. Dad was an excellent provider for his family. He was a competitive golfer with 8 holes in one credited to his name.

Jake is survived by his siblings, Kay Kobor, Ann Brouch, Ed Dieser, and Barb Day, 5 children, Jeff Dieser, Joe Dieser, Jenny Dieser, John Dieser (Susan), Jeanette Huhn (Dave), 2 grandchildren Mike Dieser (Lacey), Lisa Dieser, 3 great grandchildren, Dominyk Dieser, Jackson Dieser, & Mackenzie Dieser.
He is also survived by the mother of his five children, Jackie Dieser, scores of nieces and nephews, and his wife Chris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Dieser, his sister Natalie Dieser, his sister Rose Petesch, his twin sister Margaret Baumann, three siblings who died before his parents emigrated to America, and many loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial Mass was held Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church. Fr. Jerome Leake officiated. A memorial visitation washeld Wednesday morning from 9:00am until the funeral hour at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church. His burial will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 100pm.
