Iraida M. Garcia, 93, of Batavia, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023 at her home. She was born February 4, 1930, in Cuba, the daughter of Toribio and Angelica (Prendes) Garcia.
Iraida belonged to Sacred Heart Parish in Aurora, Illinois. She worked for Western Electric and retired after twenty seven years of service.
She is survived by her daughter Bridget (Thomas Freeman) Johnson of Batavia; two beloved grandchildren, Nicholas Michael Johnson, Catherine Angelica Johnson; her brother, Manuel Garcia and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty eight years Miguel Angel Garcia; her son Miguel A Garcia, Jr.; her parents; her sister Rosa Marta Garcia; two brothers, Toby Garcia and Alfredo Garcia.
Funeral services will be private per family's wishes.
