Ignacio R. Navarro, 87, of Aurora passed away on April 2, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center in Aurora. He was born August 11, 1933 in Mexico City, the son of Jesus Navarro Camarena and Francisca Ramirez. On July 8, 1956 he married Ines B. Perez whom he lovingly called "Guera." Together they raised nine children.
Ignacio will be remembered for his love of soccer but mostly cherished as a loving father and grandfather. He deeply loved his family and was very dedicated to his precious wife, Ines. Ignacio lived by the phrase, "el recordar es vivir," and will be deeply missed. He worked for many years at Caterpillar.
He is survived by his wife, Ines P. Navarro "Guera" ; children, Jose Ignacio Navarro, Maria G. (David) Hernandez, Jose Luis (Eloisa) Navarro, Francisca (Mark) Woodcox, Patricia (Ronald "Pepe") Ruiz, Rosalinda (Pat) Comer, Alejandro (Fiance Denise Rivera) Navarro, Marco Antonio (Elizabeth) Navarro, and Gloria Navarro; 21 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Angel (Hortencia) Navarro and Jose Jesus (Socorro) Navarro, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Alex and Patty Navarro.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 9, 2021 at 9:30am from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Peter Catholic Church at 10:00am. Fr. Ruben Herrera will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, 630-631-5500. Due to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, non-family visitors are asked to pay their respects to the family for only a few minutes and exit the funeral home in a timely fashion.
