Herminia Rodriguez Gasca

Herminia Rodriguez Gasca, 85 of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Presence Mercy Medical Center. She was born on September 28, 1930 in Mercedes, Texas. Herminia was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. She was a kind, intelligent, humble, compassionate and strong woman who was generous beyond her means. Herminia was a great humanitarian who helped many in need of shelter, financial assistance, advice and emotional support during her whole life. She was a strong believer of hope for impossible causes and lived by her faith. She was deeply loved and respected by her family, friends and in the Aurora Latino community. She was a self-employed, income tax preparer, court interpreter and assisted with the process of Naturalization for numerous people. Survivors include her nine children, Maria (Fundador) Cotts, Antonia Cuevas, Petra Aguirre, Rita Rodriguez, Lydia G. Rodriguez, Rodolfo (Gloria) Rodriguez, H. Michaela Rodriguez, Teresa (Donald) Craft, Victoria (Reynaldo) Rivera; 25 grandchildren; 34 Great grandchildren; 6 stepchildren; a brother, Domingo (Juanita) Espinosa; a sister, Guadalupe Garcia; three half brothers, Diego Espinosa, Augustine Espinosa, Manuel Espinosa; a daughter-in-law, Jeanine Rodriguez; a son-in-law, Felix Cotts, Sr.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nicolasa (late Victor) Trevino; her father, Silverio Espinosa; two sons, Angel Rodriguez and Rumaldo Rodriguez, Jr.; her former husband, Rumaldo Rodriguez, Sr.; two grandchildren, Natalie Craft and Felix Cotts, Jr.; two brothers, Jose (Marina) Espinosa and Antonio Espinosa; a brother-in-law, Felipe Garcia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Nicholas Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, January 18, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a liturgical wake service at 4:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, IL. 60506.
