Helen G. Kramer, 98, of Aurora passed away on Tuesday, October 04, 2022 at Bickford of Aurora. She was born February 25, 1924 in Aurora, IL.
Helen lived in Aurora, IL all of her life. In 1946, she married Walter Kramer at St. Nicholas Church. She was a member of St. Nicholas Church until 1972 then she became an active member of St. Rita of Cascia Church. Helen was employed by Ruddy Bros for 35 years until her retirement in 1990. She then was employed, part time, by Michels Plumbing for several years.
She is survived by her son Daniel (Carol) Kramer of Florida; her daughter Susan (Joseph) Michels of Aurora, IL; 5 grandchildren Daniel (Jana Carabino) Kramer of Florida, Jeffrey (Dena Bacinskas) Kramer of Connecticut, Matthew (Anna) Michels of Aurora, IL, Andrew (Katie) Michels of Plano, IL, and Katherine Michels of Aurora, IL; 4 great grandchildren Daniel and Ryan Kramer and Alice and William Michels; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Schaefers; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Kramer; her parents Helen (Puetz) and August Schaefers; two brothers Joseph (Ruth) Schaefers and Ernest Schaefers; and her 3 sisters Mary (Robert) Devine, Sr. Willetta Schaefers, and Henrietta "Jo" (Thomas) Dawson.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church. Fr. Jerome Leake and Fr. Robert Willhite will concelebrate. Burial will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9:00am until the funeral hour at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church.
