Hector R. Delgado, 70, of Aurora, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 20, 1944 in Yabucoa Puerto Rico.
Hector was a longtime member of St. Nicholas Church. He was employed by Caterpillar for thirty one years as an assembly man. He loved gardening and the Puerto Rican traditional sport of rooster fighting. He was a loving husband, father grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
Survivors include loving wife, Doris (Velazquez) Delgado; five children, Jorge (Minerva) Hernandez, Jr., Roberto (Elizabeth) Delgado, Hector R. (Claudia) Delgado, Jr., Michelle (Thomas) Gutierrez, Michelle (Wayne) Smith; sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Celsa Delgado; a brother, Jose (Carmen) Delgado; two aunts, Isabel Solis, Ramona Bermudez; several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lauriano and Fructuosa (Bermudez) Delgado; a brother Jesus Delgado.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Nicholas Church at 10:00 AM, Fr. Andres Salinas will officiate with interment at Lincoln Memorial Park.
