Geraldine Ethyl Kramer, 87, passed away surrounded by her loving family at her home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. She was born August 21, 1934 in Crawford, NY, the daughter of Gerald and Ethel Mae (Henry) Shepard. On May 3, 1953 she married her beloved John "Jack" Kramer in Newburgh, NY. Together they raised five children. For many years she worked as a secretary for Farmer's Insurance in Aurora.
Geraldine was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was an avid bingo player, bowler, and enthusiastic fan of the Chicago Cubs. She took much delight in the 2016 World Series outcome. She also enjoyed bus trips to the casino. She had a strong faith and was a member of Grace Point Church in Dixon. She was loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She was 'Grandma' to many.
She is survived by five children, John (Jan) Kramer, Jr. of Rantoul, IL., Keith (Vicki) Kramer of Plano, IL, Richard (Terry) Kramer of Oswego, IL, Beth (Fred) Peters of Lake Mills, WI, and Judy (fiancé Brad Fritz) Kramer of Dixon, IL.; sixty-six total grandchildren, great grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 'grandma' to so many more; sister-in-law, Betty Shepard of Vista, CA.; brothers-in-law, Rich Kramer and Owen Tighe
She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Kramer; grandsons, Seth Allen Kramer and Keith Allen Kramer; brother, John Shepard; and sisters, Edna Sledzianowski and Laura Shepard.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 15, 2020 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, 630-631-5500. Due to Covid-19 pandemic protocols face masks are required for those in attendance.
