Gerald "Jerry" Roland Tweedy, 81, of Aurora passed away on February 28, 2021 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. He was born July 9, 1939 in Aurora, the son of John Roland Tweedy and Florence Jeanette (Hickman) Tweedy. On April 6, 1976 he married Jeanine Marie Hilger.
Jerry lived most of his life in Aurora. He retired from Arrow-Gear in Quality Control. He was a life long member of the Third Ward Social Club and a member of Aurora Fishing and Hunting Club. He loved his family and friends and always enjoyed camping at Mallard Bend where he would ride along in his golf cart. He will be deeply missed for being fun loving and the life of the party.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanine; children, Lynda Berkland, Connie (James) Berry, John Tweedy, Robert (Sandy) Tweedy, James (Tina) Ginther, Kelly (Gary) Michelson, and Jeff (Karen) Ginther; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Denny Ginther; and sister, Pat Jacobson.
Funeral Services will be private. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
