George B. Anderson, 81, of Aurora, Illinois passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 at his home. He was born August 12, 1941 in Lena, Illinois.
George was a proud United States Navy Veteran. He was employed in the insurance industry working for Pat Ryan and Associates which became Aon Corporation for over thirty years. He then went on to retire from Automotive Professionals, Inc. He loved golfing and fishing but his greatest joy was his family. George was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Joyce (Haglund) Anderson; two children, Jennifer (Robert) Del Femine, Erik (Jasmine) Anderson; four grandchildren, Madeline Anderson (Revell Simmons), Abigail Anderson, Mia Anderson, and Jake Anderson; great grandson, Levi Simmons several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Frieda Anderson; his two stepmothers, Edith Anderson and Elsa Anderson; two brothers, Art Anderson and Evert Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 6:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY; Elder Dan Hedge will officiate. Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506.
