Frank E. Hurtt

Frank E. Hurtt, 88, of Aurora, Illinois passed away Friday, September 4, 2026, at Arden Courts of Geneva. He was born on October 16, 1937 in Maywood, Illinois.

Frank was a long-time resident of Aurora and a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Church. He proudly served in the United States Army.

A lifelong athlete, Frank played minor league baseball for the Washington Senators as a second baseman. He was also a member of the Illinois Fastpitch Softball Hall of Fame. Frank played shortstop for the championship Aurora Sealmaster fastpitch softball team, he also played for the Anixter Brothers and Home Savings fastpitch softball teams.

Frank was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing the game well into his eighties. His love of sports, competitive spirit, and dedication to his teams were an important part of his life and legacy.

He is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-nine years, Nancy A. (LeMieur) Hurtt; his son, Michael (Amy) Connoy; three grandchildren, Jacob Connoy, Brendon Connoy, Grace Connoy; his aunt, Jeannie Hurtt; many dear relatives and friends including, Bob Barron and Bob Christensen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Beryl (Brown) Hurtt and his special uncle, Warnie Hurtt.

Frank’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Arden Courts of Geneva and Gentiva Hospice for the excellent loving care he received.

A memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506. 630-631-5500

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM at DALEIDEN MORTUARY; Interment will be private.
