Frances Marie Perez, age 72, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026.

Frances was born on May 22, 1953, in Buffalo, New York, to William and Frances (Furlong) Perez. She was a proud graduate of Aurora College and went on to earn her master's degree in accounting. A lifelong learner with a true passion for knowledge, Frances spent much of her career working as an accountant. She also dedicated time to education as a substitute teacher, always remaining, at heart, an educator.

Faith and family were central to Frances's life. She married Lee Salisbury, the love of her life, and cherished the years they shared together.

Frances was an avid reader and loved trivia, especially Jeopardy. She had a sharp wit and a wonderful sense of humor. She adored her grandchildren and deeply loved all her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her devoted husband, Lee; her sisters, Mary Perez and Mercedes Zajicek; her brother, William Perez; her brother-in-law, Greg Zajicek; her sister-in-law, Deb Perez; her nephew John Perez and many other cherished family members and friends.

Frances is survived by her sons, Ronald (Emily) Hinton and Francis Perez; sister, Gina (Dan) Perez-Kite; her treasured grandchildren, Olivia and Benjamin Hinton; her dear friend, Karen; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice or to her grandchildren's college funds.

Interment will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Daleiden Mortuary, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506.

Frances will be remembered for her brilliant mind, her warm heart, and the deep love she gave so freely to her family.
