Eugene Paul Strong, 85, of Aurora, IL passed away on Friday, February 8, 2020 at Aperion Care in Elgin, IL. He was born November 21, 1935 in Aurora, IL.
Eugene was born and raised in Aurora, IL. He was a United States Army veteran. Eugene started his career at Allsteel, Inc and later retired from Dial Corporation. After his retirement, when he wasn't in Aurora or traveling, he spent most of his time in Florida. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Turner's Club. Eugene loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by three children Patricia (Algird) Endriukaitis of Geneva, IL, Robert (Roberta Matthews) Strong of Gordon, WI, and Edward (Theresa) Strong of Plano, IL; 6 grandchildren Alec and Mitchell Endriukaitis, Christina and Adam Strong and Candice Leask, Rachael Olson, and Robert Matthews; his great grandson Devin Olson; his brother Michael Strong; his nephew Isaac Strong; and his former wife Ann Carter of Ft. Myers, FL.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alyce Strong and his parents Helene M. (Vorin) and Eugene J. Strong.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11:30am at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY. Fr. Joel Rippinger, OSB will officiate. Interment will be private.
