Maria "Enriqueta" De la Cruz, 82, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020. She was born on July 14, 1938 in Mexico, the daughter of Ignacio and Belen (Maturino) De la Cruz.
As a young girl she loved going to Church and was involved in many of its activities in Mexico. She loved the outdoors and celebrating nature and her dogs, Nino and Gordo. Enriqueta will be deeply missed as a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Andrea De la Cruz, Manuel Favela, Belen Favela, Julieta Favela, and Cristela Meraz; grandchildren; and sister, Josefina De la Cruz.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Benito Meraz and parents.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora. Funeral Mass will be at 11:30AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 722 High Street, Aurora from the funeral home.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic protocols, non-family visitors are asked to pay their respects to the family for only a few minutes and exit the funeral home in a timely fashion. Social distancing and face masks are required for those in attendance.
