Emmett O. "Ozzie" "Bud" Langston, passed on peacefully, Saturday, 10/22/2022, surrounded by his sons and family at the age of 92. He felt he had lived a long and happy life.

Emmett was born in Wooster, AR, on July 10, 1930. His family later moved to Cape Girardeau, Mo, while he was a young boy, and spent much of his time on the Mississippi River. He later moved to Aurora, IL, where he planted his roots. He met and later married his wife of 70 years, Doris Zemansky. Together they raised two sons, Larry and Mike. Emmett served his country in the Illinois National Guard and the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. "Ozzie", worked in the mechanical field at the Burlington Railroad; Richard-Wilcox; Monaco's Pure Oil; Christensen's Phillips 66, and his own Gas Station & Garage. He also served as an Aurora Police Officer. He worked at Mainline Supply Co. and done television repair. In later years he supervised & managed Maintenance & Production Operations for Dart Container and Farnsworth Offices, as well as The Franciscan Sisters in Wheaton.

"Bud", as he was known within the family, loved spending time with his family, and being around people. He had a life-long love of hunting, especially deer & turkey, and also enjoyed all types of shooting. "Ozzie" played baseball in the Aurora Men's League in Phillips Park; was a Charter Member of the Auroraland Archers; and served as a Leader in the Oak Park School Cub Scouts Pack. He liked being outdoors and enjoyed camping and seeing the sites within the U.S. He greatly enjoyed travelling, especially on family vacations. Emmett, was a staunch defender of 2nd Amendment gun rights; American Freedom; and was a true American Patriot, often discussing American Heritage with the family. Emmett was a great Dad, Grandpa, & Great-Grandpa/Gramps, and will be deeply missed by us all.

He is survived by two sons Larry L. (Diane) Langston of Serena, IL and Michael R. (Lynne) Langston of Hinckley, IL; four grandchildren Andy (Kristen) Langston, Jason (Laura) Langston, Michelle (Chris) Salava, and Gary Langston; five great grandchildren Caden Langston, Cooper Langston, Nolan Langston, Kellen Langston, and Mikey Salava; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Doris (Zemansky) Langston; his parents Edna (Williams) and Emmett Langston; three brothers Ray, John and Amon; and his sister Ila Morgan.

Memorial Mass will be Monday, October 31, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Aurora at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jerome Leake, officiating. Inurnment of cremated remains will follow with Military Honors at St. Joseph Cemetery in Aurora. Memorial visitation will be held Monday morning at St. Joseph Church from 9:00 AM until there funeral hour at 11:00am.
