Emelia Diaz de Ortiz, 71, of Aurora passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at Elmwood Nursing Home. She was born October 21, 1953 in Mexico.

She is survived her husband Jesus Ortiz Cahue; her two sons, Armando (Melina) Ortiz, and Arturo (Mayra) Ortiz; four grandchildren, Emily, Jamie, Gemma, and Aaron; four sisters, Antonia (Hector) Padilla, Estela Guzman, Ofelia (Antonio) Gonzalez, Reyna Gellegos; three brothers, Pedro (Martha) Diaz, Martin (Ela) Diaz, and Roberto (Lucila) Diaz; sisters and brothers-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Asuncion (Vega) Diaz, her brother, Jorge Diaz, her sister, Esperanza Cahue; and her father Erasmo Diaz.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 9:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Rita of Cascia Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
