Elaine Marie (Reier) Clark of Plainfield, Illinois passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026 with her family by her side.

She was born on April 23, 1951 in Aurora, Illinois to George and Delores (Jungels) Reier. Elaine was a 1969 graduate of Aurora Central Catholic High school. She also attended and graduated from Illinois State University. She was employed by the East Aurora School District for 20 years and the Plainfield School District for 15 years where she retired from. She volunteered with the Plainfield School and she loved working with children.

Elaine enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved watching them play in sports and especially her granddaughter in dance and grandsons in baseball and bowling. She was an avid bowler and bowled on a league every Tuesday for forty plus years at Parkside in Aurora.

Elaine is survived by her Son; Michael (Stephanie) Garbe, Four Grandchildren; Alison, Olivia, Jacob, Carter. Two Great Grandchildren; Alexander & Adeline London, her Sister Law; Lynda Reier, Two Nephews; Doug Reier and Adam (Mary) Reier.

She was preceded in death by both her Parents; Husband Joe Clark; and her Brother Don Reier.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Elaine’s memory to the American Cancer Society or to Lightway Hospice Care.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 4, 2026 at 10:00AM at St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego; Fr. William Dewan will preside with interment at Risen Lord Cemetery in Oswego. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Daleiden Mortuary (220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506) from 4:00PM until 7:00PM.
