Edward F. Dunn, age 76, of Plano, IL passed away suddenly on Thursday December 31, 2020.
He was born on February 11, 1944. Ed was born and raised in Aurora, IL graduating from East Aurora High School in 1962.
While Ed was a farmer at heart, he entered the trades and was a Union Pipefitter until his retirement. In his retirement he could be found helping his friends on the farm, hunting, fishing, or trap shooting. He was never one to pass up the opportunity to tell a joke or a story, or turn down a game of euchre.
He was very proud of his family, especially his grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as "Papa Bibs."
Ed was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano, St. Charles Sportsman Club, Aurora Sportsman Club, and Lucky 50.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Elaine (nee Thill) Dunn; son, Pat (Connie) Dunn; his 3 grandchildren, Allison, Maddison, and Carson Dunn; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris Dunn and his sister, Ann (Larry) Malaker.
Memorial visitation will be Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St. Aurora, IL. 60506. (630) 631-5500.
Memorial mass for Edward will be at St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano, IL on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
