Eddy Garza, 62 of Aurora, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024 at his home. He was born October 17, 1961in San Juan Texas.
Eddy was a proud United Stated Marine Corps veteran. He was a dedicated officer with the United States Customs and Border Protection for over twenty three years. Prior to his service with Customs and Border Protection, Eddy served as an Aurora Police Department office and as a member of Fermilab Security.
Though Eddy was born in Texas, he loved the city of Aurora with all his heart, and cherished the many fond memories of attending Oak Park Elementary school, Simmons Middle School and East Aurora High School before serving in the Marines.
Eddy was always providing for his family and was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears. Eddy had an artistic soul and loved music.
He is survived by his wife of twenty nine years, Elvia (nee Rivera) Garza; three children, Ruby Garza, Crystal Garza, and Eddy DeJesus Garza; his parents, Pedro and Mariana (nee Cerda) Garza; five siblings, Silvia (Cesar) Torres, Diana (David) Fergurson, Roel (Frances) Garza, Thelma Garza, and Priscilla Garza; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY; Pastor Glenn Morden will officiate. Interment will be private.
