Duane F. Sartor, 79, of Newark, IL, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Rush Copley Medical Center. He was born January 7, 1936 in Aurora, IL.

Duane was a member of St. Therese Church in Aurora. He was employed by Ceco Steel Company for forty years as a maintenance man. He was a loving and caring person. He was a true die hard Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan. He loved gardening.

He is survived by his two children, Robert Sartor of Newark, IL and Jane Sartor of Aurora; his granddaughter, Kim Swon of Newark, IL; a brother, Joe (Sharon) Sartor of Sibley, IL; two sisters, Jeanette Edwards of Aurora, Mary Larson of Millington, IL; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen (Moenkeuier) Sartor; his parents, Frank and Edena (Hamman) Sartor; and a sister, Carol Sartor.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 7:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, Fr. Bernard Schaefer, O.S.B. will officiate. Interment will be private.
