Doralee King, 87, of Montgomery passed away on December 12, 2020 at Edwards Hospital in Naperville. She was born November 25, 1933 in Chicago, the daughter of Edward and Carlean (Baker) Lietzau. She married Donald Alan King. Together they raised 3 sons.
Doralee lived in Montgomery after she got married and she lived there for the rest of her life. She was a devoted wife to Donald for 27 years until his passing in 1987. She never remarried. She was a loving mother and grandmother whom enjoyed traveling, gardening, the outdoors and was an avid reader. Her biggest joy in life was her family, who she was very proud of, and loved seeing her grandchildren starting to have children of their own.
She is survived by her sons, Michael A., Donnie J. and Tony and Val King; grandchildren, Ryan and Jamie King, Kristin, Rachel, Alex, Dylan, Josh, and Sophie King; great grandchildren, Stella, Walter, Lucas, and Beckham King; sister, Mary Lou Farbo; and dear nephew, Patrick Farbo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; grandson, Aaron King; and brother, John E. Lietzau.
Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Aurora on Saturday, January 16, 2020 at 10:30 AM.
