Donna L. Walsh, 89, of Sugar Grove, formerly of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home. She was born March 16, 1933 in Aurora, IL.
Donna was a long time member of Holy Angels Church in Aurora and then St. Katharine Drexel Church in Sugar Grove. She was very active in the St. Anne's Society for many years. Donna enjoyed playing bridge in her bridge club and was a very avid golfer. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children Robin Baran, Kelly Walsh, Jill Michalek, Jennifer Cintron, and Adam Walsh; her grandchildren Allison Wilson, Lyndsay Walsh, Noah Baran, Megan Walsh-Sand, Caitlin Baran, Jake Michalek, Hannah Michalek, and Tre Cintron; her great grandchildren Kayleigh, Delanie, and Aleah Sand and Caroline Wallin; her sister Joyce Geissler; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Walsh.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Katharine Drexel Church in Sugar Grove. Fr. Steven St. Jules will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. She will lie in state at St. Katharine Drexel Church on Monday morning from 9:00am until the funeral hour at 10:00am.
