Donald J. Youngen, 97 of Aurora, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025 at his home. He was born January 9, 1929 to Joseph & Barbara (Kersch) Youngen. Don was united in marriage with Barbara (Gee) on May 26, 1951 and they spent the next 59 wonderful years together, until her passing in 2010. In retirement, Don and Barb enjoyed their annual trips to the Covered Bridge Festival in Park County Indiana (Barb for the crafts and Don for the foods) and above all, spending time with family & friends.

Don is survived by his children, Connie Wright of Aurora and Joe (Lynn) Youngen of Yorkville: his grandsons, Andrew Youngen and Christopher Youngen; his step-grandsons, Joshua Ritli and Lane Wright; and his step great-grandson, Kyle Ritli.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara; parents, Joseph & Barbara Youngen; his sisters, Ruth Maendlein and Catherine Mareske; and son-in-law, Randy Wright.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 to St. Joseph Catholic Church at 722 High Street, Aurora for 10:00 AM Mass. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at The Daleiden Mortuary (220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, IL 60506., 630-631-5500).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
