In Loving Memory of Dianne L Schmidt, 81, Aurora IL. Dianne went to join the love of her life Joseph A. Schmidt (4/11/1950-6/12/2023) on November 3rd 2025, She was surrounded by her family — the people she cherished most in this world.

Dianne was born on October 15, 1944 in Aurora IL, Dianne devoted her life to caring for others and playing with her sweet Kelly dolls. Dianne and Joseph married on December 23, 1979 and together they built a home on love, laughter, and good food (SWEET TREATS and DIET DR. PEPPER), and they somehow always managed to make room for one more at the table.

Dianne's greatest joy was her family. She never missed a chance to remind them that they were loved and how proud she was of each and every one of them.

Dianne was the heart of a big, beautiful family — a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, mother-in-law, and friend. Her hugs could fix anything, her stories always ended with a laugh, and her smile and strength helped to guide everyone lucky enough to know her.

She is survived by her sons; Steve (Jacqueline) Schilling and Tom (Linda) L Schilling Sr. Her grand children; Jessica (Jeremy), Mandi, Jaime (Tim) ,Becki, Jenna (Chad), Kellie (Dakota), Tommy (Cortney) Jr, Kaylee, Joey (Melissa), and Danny. Her great-grandchildren; Alex, EmmaRose, Jayden, Evelyn, Jazmyn, Sydney, Jazmyne, Zachary, Koletin, Thomas, DaisyLee, Madelyn, Nathanial, Jackson, JJ, Shane, Ashlynn, Jella, Evan, and Gracie. Her great-great grandson Raymond.(RJ). Brother-in-law Jimmy (Barb) and Sister-in-law Beth (Rich). Beloved Nieces and Nephews. Along with more bonus/honorary family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lucille and Merrill, her sisters Judy and Eva, and her grandsons Scott and Konnor.

Dianne's legacy is one of love — not just in the family she raised, but in the countless lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, gentle humor, and rockstar beautician skills.

A private celebration of her life will be held for immediate family at a later date.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend as much time as possible with the ones you love! Please take time to share your favorite memories of Dianne and Joe.

Though she is no longer here to hold our hands, she is with her soulmate looking over us and helping to keep us safe. She will forever hold a very special spot in all of our hearts.
