Obituary

Diane Kay Jennings passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026.

She was born on May 19, 1955, to Leon F. and Hazel M. (Rausch) Jennings.

Diane will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the cherished memories she created with all who knew her. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the special bonds she shared with those closest to her will be treasured always. She found joy in doing puzzles, reading, and spending time with her beloved nieces and nephews. Diane was also a proud member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary in Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon F. and Hazel M. Jennings; her sister, Susan Jennings; her stepmother, Suzanne Jennings; and her stepbrother, Gary Sherman.

She is lovingly survived by her siblings, Lynn (James) Riedel of Loves Park, Tom (Pat) Jennings of Salt Lake City, Utah, David (Linda) Jennings of McHenry, and Mark (Pam) Jennings of Shorewood.

Diane is also survived by her stepbrothers, Donald Sherman of Mississippi and Jim (Linda) Sherman of Oswego; her stepsisters, Diane Reis of Kentucky and Mari (Greg) Kluber of Aurora; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Daleiden Mortuary (220 North Lake Street, Aurora, IL 60506 Phone: (630)631-5500). A memorial service will follow at the mortuary at 11:00AM. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Donations may be made out to St. Jude in Diane's name.
