Delores Gonzalez of Aurora, IL passed away with her family by her side on December 16, 2025, She was born on March 26, 1942 in Wisconsin.

Delores loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. On December 11, 1978, she married Benjamin Gonzalez, a love that endured until his passing on October 10, 2000. She was treasured for her delicious Puerto Rican rice and beans, a favorite dish shared at many family gatherings. Delores loved to dance, especially to Mexican music, and found joy in doing crossword puzzles. For more than 30 years, she lovingly cared for children as a babysitter, and was known by many as the very best at what she did. A devoted and faithful Catholic, her life reflected her deep commitment to her faith and her family.

She is survived by her Children; Daniel (Elidia) Gonzalez, Lisa Sickler, Diane (David) Warren, Annabelle (Brian) Gonzalez, Grandchildren; Jose, Nicholas, Jayme Rodriguez, Alix, Andrew, Ashlee Warren, Alyssa Payan, Ian, Aaron, Ava Guther, Eliana, Analia, Xavier, Gianna Gonzalez, Great-grandchildren; Ayden, Aly, Alany, Nolan, Oliver, Jackson, Liam, Danielle, Elric, & Elon.

Delores was preceded in death by her Parents; George and Sarah Gonzalez, Husband; Benjamin Gonzalez, Sons; Anthony Alvarez, Frank Sickler, Siblings; Roman, Refugio, Patrick, Dorothy, Mary, Esther, & Ana.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at The Daleiden Mortuary (220 N. Lake St. Aurora, IL 60506) from 4-7PM. On Monday December 22, 2025 the funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Church (722 High St, Aurora, IL 60505) at 11AM. The graveside service will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
