Deborah "Debby" Weatherington (nee Urbealis) was born January 24th, 1953 in Aurora, Illinois to Anthony And Mary Jane Urbealis. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School and was always ready to share fond memories of her short walk directly across from her childhood home on Fulton Street to go to school and Church. She moved on to East Aurora High School, where she was quick to keep her friends in line and out of trouble, snapping out their names to bring them to immediate attention and reconsider their intended actions. Of course, she could use the same tactic to get them into plenty of trouble if that was her plan.
During her final year of high school, she took a part time job with Farmers Insurance corporate office in North Aurora. After finishing school, she remained with the company full time for 39 years.
Debby met Ron Weatherington at a party in 1970. After several weeks of trying, Ron finally got her to agree to a date, and they were eventually wed on October 26, 1974 in that same church right across the street from her house. They settled in Aurora, growing a family that included two children and a series of beloved cats.
She was always a helper of others and a caregiver throughout her entire life. Whenever a volunteer opportunity arose, Debby was first to raise her hand to the task. She was well known for helping out across the community and arranging events both big and small, whether at the children's school, church, a community event, work function or birthday party. She was also primary caregiver to her mother in her later years. Even after retiring from her primary full-time job, she spent nearly 10 years working for the Oswego School District 308 as a special services monitor on school buses. She counted this work helping children as one of the most fulfilling jobs she had ever done.
She is survived by her husband of 51 1/2 years, Ronald, as well as her son Anthony (Jean-Mari) Weatherington, her daughter Brianna Weatherington (Cesar Jaime), her brother Ronald (Betsy) Urbealis, several nieces and nephews, and her treasured cat Modelo who was the absolute light of her days.
Debby was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary Jane Urbealis and her sister Joan (Mike) Weger.
