Debbie Jo Vago, 68 of Aurora, Illinois passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Accent Care Hospice in Naperville, IL. She was born on June 11, 1957, to Alex and Carol (nee Knauf) Vago. Born and raised in a close-knit community, she devoted her life to kindness, generosity, and the pursuit of happiness. Her unwavering love for family and friends was evident in everything she did and she was a wonderful sister and aunt.
Debbie was a 1975 graduate of East Aurora High School and retired from Fermilab as an Administrative Assistant.
Survivors include her sister Toni Wegman of Sugar Grove, IL, her brother, Eric (Donna) Vago of Mukilteo, WA; his four nieces and nephews, Brian Vago of Mukilteo, WA, Lauren (Michael) Xavier of Edmonds, WA, Perry (Katie) Wegman of Sugar Grove, IL and Ross (Jaimie) Wegman of Aurora, IL and by four great nieces and great nephews, Emily & Hannah Wegman of Sugar Grove, IL and Sonny & Lena Wegman of Aurora, IL.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother-in-law, Paul Wegman.
Funeral services and burial at St. Joseph Cemetery will be private according to the wishes of the family.
