David P. Tomkowiak, age 81, of DeKalb, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at Bethany Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in DeKalb. He was born May 25, 1940, in Stanley, WI, the son of Paul and Martha (Filipek) Tomkowiak.
David worked for over 30 years at Caterpillar in Montgomery. He was an avid car enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his mother Martha Robinson; his father Paul Tomkowiak, and his son, James, in infancy.
Survivors include three sons Dennis Tomkowiak of Kingston, GA, David (Stacey) Tomkowiak of Aurora, and Gerald Tomkowiak of Sycamore, and his daughter Susan (Tony) Forthman of Brookport; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; five brothers Ronald, Paul, Jack, Dick and Charlie; 6 sisters Linda, Joanie, Roxy, Sally, Betty and Dorothy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 3:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St, Aurora, Illinois 60506. 630-631-5500.
